Parc Naturel Régional de la Camargue | FR

The Regional Park of Camargue is an organization founded in 1970 with a mission of general interest for: protection and management of natural and cultural heritage, spatial planning, economic and social development, reception, education, information, experimentation. It covers three communes: Arles, Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer and Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône. It covers more than 100,000 ha. and 75 km of seafront.

Domaine de la Pallissade, situated between the Rhone and sea, belongs to the now rare and threatened family of Mediterranean wetlands. It been managed by the Camargue Regional Nature Park since 2014, open to the public, with a clear orientation towards environmental education actions. It is intended for the protection of nature while integrating local socio-economic activities respectful of natural environments.
